Important Information About Portrait Sessions at Rockledge Gardens

Opening Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily
The best time to visit Rockledge Gardens for a portrait session is during the winter months (November – March). Because of their limited daylight operating hours, the best time for lighting is when they open at 9:00 am and at closing, so 4:00pm. These start times do not work in the summer months when the sun rises at 6:00 am and sets around 8:00 pm. The gardens are sweltering hot by the time they open and remain so by closing.

There is a bathroom on site, great for changing outfits halfway through our session together. They also have a garden cafe and sell many beautiful plants and herbs.

Maternity Photos – Rockledge Gardens

The gardens are an ideal location for any session. However, here are some maternity sessions that I’ve had the pleasure to capture. Children are definitely welcome to join as well. They even have a playground that they can utilize while we get some solo photos of mom.

Consider adding a crown of flowers to your session here. It’s the perfect addition!

Senior Portraits – Rockledge Gardens

How beautiful are these seniors?! The gardens have so many gorgeous flowers in bloom to make every senior portrait POP!

Family Sessions – Rockledge Gardens

As mentioned above, there is a playground in the gardens. I highly recommend telling your littles they can play on the playground as a reward for being on their best behavior! Now, I will always try to make our time together FUN. But a little incentive never hurt! Perhaps tell them to look for butterflies too! They even have a butterfly section.

Engagement Photos – Rockledge Gardens

Rockledge Gardens isn’t just great for engagement photos, but also for weddings. But, since they also double as a wedding venue, they have the perfect photo ops for engagement photos. I love to utilize the romantic altar for the perfect formal engagement shots. Great for save the dates!
