Max and Abby’s wedding day on March 14th was the kind of day that felt effortless in the best way. Every part of it was filled with love from every person involved.
Set at Victoria 1883, their wedding had the perfect backdrop. The venue blends the charm of a historic home with an elevated, refined feel. From the outdoor ceremony space to the covered patio reception and the beautifully designed interior rooms where guests can stay overnight, it creates a full experience that allows everyone to truly settle in and enjoy the day.
A Morning Full of Anticipation
When I arrived, the energy was already in full swing. Abby was getting ready inside the house with her mom, sisters, and best friends while Max spent the morning with his groomsmen in the venue’s speakeasy.
One of the things that makes a Victoria 1883 wedding in New Smyrna Beach so special is how everything flows in one place. There is no rushing between locations. Everyone can stay present, relaxed, and fully immersed in the day.
Abby got into her dress in a quiet, intimate moment surrounded by her closest people. Once she was ready, we brought her bridesmaids in for the reveal. Not the easiest task for 8 women to walk into a room with their eyes closed – but they prevailed. The big reveal was followed with emotion. Happy tears, laughter, and hugs all around. It was one of those moments that sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Thoughtful Details and Spring Color
Abby’s vision came to life through the details.
Her bouquet was a soft yet vibrant mix of spring florals, creating something out of my bouquet dreams. It added just the right amount of color to make a beautiful pop throughout the day.
The bridesmaids wore pale butter yellow silk dresses that looked incredible in the sunlight, while the groomsmen wore classic black tie attire, creating a clean and balanced aesthetic.
Her invitation suite featured a custom illustration of the venue paired with soft sage tones, tying the entire design together in a way that felt – just right.
Florals were designed by Wild and Noble Florals and the day was beautifully planned by Melanie Paige Events, which allowed everything to feel seamless from start to finish.

A Meaningful Outdoor Ceremony
The ceremony took place outside in the garden space, where the weather could not have been more perfect.
Abby walked down the aisle with both her mother and father. This is a growing trend that I love. Everyone was all smiles and quiet. There were no phone in the air. Everyone was locked in – in the moment.
The couple exchanged their vows in front of a tall, old spanish moss that is reminiscent of FSU, where they met. I don’t think they could’ve chosen a better place to say ‘I Do’!

Portraits Around the Property
After the ceremony, we moved into family portraits, followed by wedding party photos and then time for just Max and Abby. The entire bridal party were such a great group of people. So wonderful to photograph and helpful. Having a solid bridal party makes all the difference and you can see it in the pictures!

The property at Victoria 1883 offers so many beautiful spots for portraits. Between the garden areas, the architecture of the home, and the soft natural light, it creates a variety of backdrops without ever needing to leave the venue. And that means – more pretty pictures 🙂

Their portraits ended up being some of my favorites. They were relaxed, natural, and full of Abbys big beautiful smile!
A Reception Full of Energy
As the evening began, guests gathered outside of the reception area where a tented reception space had been set. Everyone was enjoying cocktails among the beautiful greenery. Everyone was dressed in their best and the colors were popping.
Max and Abby made their grand entrance following their bridal party, immediately bringing energy into the space. From there, the night unfolded with heartfelt toasts from the groom’s brother, Abby’s father, and her best friend. Each one added another layer to the story of who they are as a couple. Maxes brother bringing in the most laughs by a landslide. Sibling speeches never hold back.
Their first dance and parent dances were meaningful and emotional, and once the dance floor opened, it stayed full the rest of the night. There was no shortage of laughter, movement, and celebration.

A Day That Felt Like Them
Max and Abby’s wedding was not just beautiful. It felt genuine.
Every detail, every moment, and every interaction reflected who they are. Being able to capture a day like that, especially in a setting like Victoria 1883, is what makes weddings like this so memorable.
If you are planning your own Victoria 1883 wedding in New Smyrna Beach and want your day captured in a way that feels true to you, I would love to connect.
