Florida Wedding at Eau Gallie Yacht Club | Kaitlyn and Matt

Kaitlyn and Matt’s Florida wedding on November 15th, 2025 was the kind of day that reminds you why weddings are so special. Thoughtful details, emotional moments, perfect Florida weather, and a high energy wedding party made this wedding truly unforgettable.

A Thoughtful Start to Their Florida Wedding Day

Florida wedding at Eau Gallie Yacht Club in Melbourne Florida

They began their wedding day at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club, where both Kaitlyn and Matt got ready. Kaitlyn’s getting ready room was filled with laughter, music, and excitement as her five bridesmaids and her mom helped her prepare for the day. Her make up was done by Faith In Beauty, who did a phenomenal job. The energy was calm, happy, and just a good time. Some of my favorite images from the morning were Kaitlyn sharing quiet moments with her mom as she helped her into her dress and added the final touches with jewelry.

One of the most meaningful moments of this Florida wedding happened during this time. Kaitlyn surprised her mom with a painted portrait of the two of them alongside Kaitlyn’s two grandmothers who have passed away. It was her way of honoring them and including them in her wedding day. Her mom’s emotional reaction made the moment incredibly touching, and it was such an honor to document it.

At the same time, my second shooter Mary was with Matt and his groomsmen. Matt had five groomsmen, all from the Washington, D.C. area, and they brought such a fun energy to the morning. They got ready in the Captain’s Room at the yacht club, a space with a clean and polished feel. Mary captured them getting ready inside and then outside by the boats, creating timeless groom and groomsmen portraits. These guys were a trip to work with. I always love working with a fun group of groomsmen. It’s what makes this work a joy to do.

Emotional First Looks Before the Ceremony

After getting ready, Kaitlyn shared a first look with her dad outside the yacht club. The moment he saw her, he became emotional, and the two of them took time to pray together. Kaitlyn’s mom stood nearby and witnessed the entire exchange, making it even more special. These quiet and emotional moments are always some of my favorite parts of any Florida wedding day.

A Catholic Florida Wedding Ceremony in Melbourne

From there, we headed to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, located just minutes from the yacht club. Kaitlyn and Matt’s Catholic ceremony was beautiful, heartfelt, and meaningful, surrounded by family and friends.

Bridal Portraits and Cocktail Hour at Eau Gallie Yacht Club

After the ceremony, everyone returned to the yacht club for bridal portraits and cocktail hour. Guests gathered on the terrace, enjoying the waterfront views and perfect Florida sunshine. The weather truly could not have been better for a Florida wedding. Bright skies, warm sunshine, and a gentle breeze made the entire afternoon feel effortless. We also stepped onto one of the docks for drone photos, which added a stunning nautical perspective to their wedding gallery.

While the guests were enjoying crisp cold cocktails on the outdoor patio, Mary and I grabbed the newly married couple to take some golden hour bridal portraits at the end of one of the docks. I love to take my couples far away from all the eyes so they can feel their most comfortable.

A Fun and Meaningful Florida Wedding Reception

As the reception began, the wedding party was introduced one by one, followed by Kaitlyn and Matt’s first dance to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli. Dinner followed, along with emotional parent dances, including a father daughter dance to a Cinderella themed song and a mother son dance shortly after.

Once the formal dances ended, the celebration really took off. The music featured classic Americana songs, which felt especially fitting since Matt works in politics in Washington, D.C. The dance floor stayed packed, the energy was high, and guests truly embraced the celebration.

They ended their Florida wedding with a sparkler exit, walking through glowing lights before hopping onto a small boat and cruising around the lagoon. It was romantic, joyful, and the perfect ending to an incredible wedding day.

Kaitlyn and Matt’s Florida wedding at Eau Gallie Yacht Club was filled with intentional moments, emotional storytelling, and timeless details. It was such an honor to photograph their day from start to finish.

Alyssa captured our day so beautifully, and we couldn’t be happier with all of the moments captured by her and her team. She is so lovely to work with, and she truly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera (we’re a bit awkward with pictures, but she provided incredible direction!) If you want a photographer who goes above and beyond, captures every aspect of the day, and provides you with the most beautiful memories of the best day of your life, then you definitely need to have Alyssa capture your day. We love our gallery, and we can’t thank her and her team enough!! Best photographers ever!!
